According to some staff reps we spoke with, Vince Bailey and Paulo Ribeiro are absolutely right when they say that their head office is filled with people who got their jobs via an accident of birth. Namely that they daddies and mummies boyfriends or girlfriends got them their "champagne lifestyles-caviar dreams" jobs.
They tell us they are tripping over peoples relatives at head office.

The Union Movement has always use People Of Colour to work against each other (this is no lie). We as People of Colour are our worst enemies when it comes to supporting each other.
ReplyDeleteWe are like Crabs in a Barrel - when one tries to climb out the rest pulls it down.
If workers of Colour cannot stick together and help each other to climb out of that Barrel and pull the rest out with us we will all sink to the bottom and remain there.
As to qualifications, I feel, as many others have, it should be Universal.
Keep up the good works, Expose those that discriminate against others in the Union and Work Places.
Expose those that prevent Workers of colour from Climbing the Ladder of Success.
I was told that "in order to be equal to a white person you have to be twice as smart and to be better you work twice as hard". This is a mith not fact, You confused them by pretending to be ignorant and letting them guess your next move.
(Nepotism is in every organization and will never go away until the Majority - People of Colour - open their eyes).
